How to set your working location in Google Calendar
You can configure default working areas for each day of the week in Google Calendar settings. This may be particularly useful if you work from particular areas on a routine schedule. To configure your basic working areas:
- Go to Google Calendar online.
- Select Settings icon, then Settings.
- In the left menu, choose Working hours & area (in General).
- Select every day of the week you wish to be active.
- For each day, choose the dropdown option under Working Location (Figure A). Select a website, such as your default workplace location, Home, Unspecified, Another office or Elsewhere (to enter an extra place).

You might alter a working place for any day. - Calendar > Sharing settings. Optional: You may select a company unit, if you want to apply the settings only to a particular set of accounts.
- Otherwise, by default, the settings apply throughout the organization. Within the Sharing settings Working location area, make sure the checkbox is set beside Permit users to set their everyday working place.
