With Microsoft Chart Developer Proxy, the software giant is providing a command line tool intended to provide a much better way to test applications that use Microsoft Graph.Graph Developer Proxy, currently in a developer preview, permits designers to mock Graph API reactions and mimic Graph API errors on their local devices. Issues can be recognized and repaired in code early in the development cycle. The existing preview focuses on mistake simulation for Microsoft Chart and other APIs, along with on offering contextual guidance to improve application performance.Published January 4, the current sneak peek release, version 0.3, can be downloaded from GitHub. It is offered for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Users are recommended to check if apps effectively handle API mistakes. The Microsoft Chart API offers access to information and insights from Microsoft 365 applications.By extending demands to Microsoft Chart with the$choose inquiry specification, developers can limit the information that Microsoft Chart returns to just what is needed by their application, speeding up the API action. Chart Developer Proxy will alert users of any requests to the Chart API that do not use the$choose parameter and offer a link to assistance with more information about utilizing the $choose parameter.For the future, Microsoft is refactoring Chart Developer Proxy to be more modular, making it easier to keep features and offering the opportunity for developer-driven plugin support for specific situations. Future strategies likewise require improving the readability of the proxy’s output, and for investigating methods to understand which beta endpoints are being used in applications so these can be updated to utilize the version 1.0 endpoints that are supported in production.
